1. Phone Number Entry & SMS Consent
During account creation in the Spinjoy mobile app, users are first asked to enter their phone number.
Below the phone number field, users see an unchecked SMS consent checkbox with the following language displayed prominently:
“I agree to receive SMS text messages from Spinjoy about my account, order notifications, and important updates. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help.”
Users cannot proceed until they manually check this box. This ensures clear, affirmative, opt-in consent specifically for SMS messaging.

2. Verification Code Delivery
Once the user provides their phone number and checks the consent box, they tap Send Code.
Spinjoy then sends a one-time SMS verification code to the number provided.
This SMS includes sample messaging consistent with our A2P use case:
“Spinjoy Verification Code: 555555. Reply HELP for help or STOP to unsubscribe.”
This ensures users immediately receive opt-out instructions at the first touchpoint.
Users then enter the verification code inside the app to confirm ownership of the number.


3. Registration Continuation
After verification, users proceed to the onboarding form (name, email, etc.).
SMS consent has already been explicitly granted and recorded, along with:
- Phone number
- Timestamp
- User ID/session
Spinjoy stores this in our database for compliance and audit purposes.

4. Opt-Out Instructions
Users can opt out at any time by replying STOP, which immediately revokes consent.
Replying HELP provides assistance information.
All subsequent SMS messages from Spinjoy include STOP/HELP instructions.
Spinjoy SMS Marketing Consent Collection Process
Spinjoy obtains express written consent from consumers before sending any marketing or promotional text messages. Users voluntarily provide their mobile phone number through Spinjoy web forms and must actively opt in by checking an unchecked consent box prior to submission.
Spinjoy does not purchase or rent phone numbers, use third-party lists, or automatically enroll consumers in SMS marketing programs without consent.
SMS Opt-In Process
Step 1: User Navigates to Spinjoy's Website
Consumers may encounter Spinjoy forms on landing pages, promotional pages, waitlist forms, account registration pages, or other marketing-related pages.


Step 2: User Enters Mobile Phone Number
The user voluntarily enters their mobile phone number into the designated phone number field.

Step 3: User Provides Explicit Consent
Before submitting the form, users must manually check the consent checkbox. The checkbox is not pre-selected and requires affirmative action by the consumer.
The following disclosure appears directly adjacent to the checkbox:
"I agree to receive recurring automated marketing text messages from Spinjoy at the mobile number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Mobile numbers are not sold or shared for marketing purposes. I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy."

Step 4: Form Submission
Only after entering their information and checking the consent box may the user submit the form.

Consent Disclosure
By opting in, consumers expressly agree to receive recurring automated marketing and promotional text messages from Spinjoy. These messages may include:
- Promotional offers
- Discounts and special pricing
- Product and service announcements
- Grand opening announcements
- Loyalty and rewards promotions
- Event notifications
- Marketing campaigns
- Customer engagement communications
Consent is not required to purchase any Spinjoy product or service.
Opt-Out Instructions
Consumers may opt out of SMS marketing communications at any time by replying:
STOP
Upon receipt of a STOP request, Spinjoy immediately suppresses future marketing text messages to that mobile number.
Consumers may request assistance by replying:
HELP
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on customer engagement and marketing activity.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply according to the consumer's mobile carrier plan.

Data Usage Statement
Spinjoy respects consumer privacy. Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS communications are used solely for communications authorized by the consumer.
Spinjoy does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers with third parties for their marketing purposes.
